Common questions
What do I need to use Snagbox?
An iPhone on iOS 18 or later, or a Mac on macOS 15 or later, and an Apple ID to sign in with. Developers also need an App Store Connect API key if they want builds and release notes to mirror in; testers need nothing but an invite code.
How do testers join?
The developer creates an invite code in the space and sends it, or shares the snagbox://join link. Install Snagbox, tap Join with Code, paste the code. Codes can be single-use or limited to a number of uses and a date.
Where does my App Store Connect key go?
Into your device’s Keychain, synced between your own devices by iCloud Keychain. Your device calls Apple directly to read your builds and writes the list into the space. The key is never sent to Snagbox’s servers and cannot be seen by other members.
Why don’t testers see the new build yet?
Builds mirror in from your device, so open the space once after a build finishes processing. Pull to refresh on iPhone, or press Refresh on the Mac, to force it.
Can other members see my email address?
No. Members see the display name you choose and the avatar you set. Sign in with Apple can hide your email from us too.
Does a bug report include my photos’ location?
No. A screenshot is shrunk and re-encoded on your device before upload, which removes the metadata a photo carries, including location.
How do I leave a space, or delete my account?
Leave a space from its member list. Delete your account from Settings; it asks you to sign in with Apple again first, then removes your profile, memberships, device tokens and every space you own. Reports and comments you wrote stay, attributed to “Deleted user”.
Is Snagbox free?
Free while it is in beta, and free for testers always. At release, developers who own more than one space or have more than fifteen testers move to Pro. Everyone who joins during the beta gets a year of Pro.
